MONROE, Conn. – The Lice Treatment Center LLC, the leading national lice removal company, has launched a new website – www.licetreatmentcenter.com – that details LTC’s four-tiers of services; provides online purchasing of LTC’s own line of non-toxic products; and offers consumer information about lice infestations and removal.
“We have revamped our website in recognition of milestones we’ve reached – which includes our 10-year anniversary coming up in 2015,” says Elizabeth Solovay, Lice Treatment Center co-founder. “Our services and products have gradually expanded over time, and we wanted visitors to the site to get a clear perspective of our mission and successes.”
LTC, based in Monroe, Connecticut, is known nationally for its line of non-toxic products (no insecticides) and for delivery of 24/7 on-site, lice removal services in homes, schools, children’s camps, and other locations.
Nationally, the company is the only lice-removal business offering four tiers of services:
- Around-the-clock in-home or on-site lice removal;
- A line of pediatrician-developed, non-toxic, head-lice removal and prevention products – branded Jolis Cheveux™ by LTC;
- A Lice Insurance™ screening program for schools and camps;
- A training and certification program in how to do lice treatment and removal.
LTC has successfully served more than 30,000 families over the last decade and in 2013 started the nation’s first Lice Technician Certification Program for addressing the growing epidemic of head lice infestations. Due to the emergence of so-called “super lice” that are becoming resistant to many removal products, infestations of head lice appear to be increasing. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that from six to twelve million children in our country will contract head lice this year alone.
A Yale University graduate, Solovay founded her lice removal business in partnership with Elin Cohen, a board-certified pediatrician, when neither woman could find effective products or resources for controlling infestations in their own children.
Cohen used her medical background to develop a line of non-toxic lice removal products called Jolis Cheveux™ by LTC, which are currently made and distributed by the center. The products can be purchased on the new LTC website and are also available in select pharmacies (including Walgreens) and specialty stores across the country.
LTC’s Training Certification Program, a two-day course, is offered periodically at the company’s home facility in Monroe, Connecticut. Training sessions are scheduled for October 18-19, 2014, and January 9-11, 2015.
