Professional Lice Technicians
We provide training year-round for individuals who wish to conduct head lice inspections and deliver lice treatments.
Duties: Successful candidates will be trained to identify lice infestations on clients and will be trained to deliver our pediatrician-designed lice treatment protocol in clients’ homes as well as screening sessions at summer camps and schools.
Qualifications: Lice Technicians must be available for on-call work year around. Prefer candidates with experience in delivering personal services in the beauty or health fields. Experience and patience essential when working with children preferred. Must be fluent in English and computer literate. Must have cell phone (email, texting). Summer Opportunities
The Lice Treatment Center is looking for applicants to travel with groups to our contracted residential summer camps across New England (including Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New York). We are seeking summer workers for 3 to 4 non-consecutive weeks. Applicants must be available during the following time periods: June 24th through August 10th.
Experience with head lice and hair in general is a plus, but we will train all applicants to be efficient in our lice check and removal methods. Technicians will be working with children (campers); therefore candidates must be comfortable working with children.
The salary is $800 per 7 day work week. Additionally, summer technicians will be furnished with room and board (room and board valued at $350 per week). If necessary, transportation throughout New England will be arranged. There is a $250 bonus after completion of two weeks of work.
